In recent weeks, Ricky Martin became a proud father by the birth of twin sons. The children, delivered via gestational surrogacy, are healthy and already under Ricky's full-time care. Ricky is elated to begin this new chapter in his life as a parent and will be spending the remainder of the year out of the public spotlight in order to spend time with his children.

(Puerto Rico, julio 2008) - Justo cuando finalizaban su clase de Capoeira, disciplina que aprenden cada mañana en el campamento de verano, Ricky Martin se unió a la roda (círculo) que hacían los jóvenes ante rostros de asombro y alegría por su visita sorpresa.

El cantante Ricky Martin causó gran revuelo durante su presentación en el concierto de la Fundación ALAS (América Latina en Acción Solidaria) donde pidió a los gobiernos una alianza para apoyar a la niñez.

Lleno de vitalidad y con un semblante de alegría, el artista subió al escenario del Zócalo capitalino para ofrecer su rítmica música, pero sobre todo para hacer un llamado a la unión.

Ricky sat down with CNN reporter Harris Whittbeck in Mexico City to talk about his Foundation efforts and the meaning of the two free ALAS concerts that are being held today simultaneously in Buenos Aires and Mexico City in an efforts to seek aid for Latin America's children in need.
